hum is there anybody still here?? sorry for the late ^^' So those times I'm drawing and drawing again! even if it makes me focus on drawing more than on school So... I want to enter an artschool: that's why I keep working hard...So here are two of my works done on big size sheets (50x65 cm) at first a study of a painting done by Giacometti, guh I totally messed it but I still like it and I enjoyed doing it XD (yea i'm crazy XD ) The other one is a study of the film entitled THE WRESTLER shot by Darren Aronofsky and which won the gloden lion at the Venise cinema festival, I haven't seen it. I haven't made it so well but I still like it
Well Even if it's a massacre, what do you think of it?
EDIT: I had to post a new picture, with this one you don't have to switch your head to see THE WRESTLER but the quality has been lowered...sorry T_T
But I'm shure you know that you can draw... On the other hand, I know I can program, but think its a mess as well...
Have fun and continue doing art. Because everybody can work, not many people can draw...
Technical critique: it seems like the person is leening to the right (from his perspective) but the shoulders don't match that impression without giving an explaintation in the image. If his arm would be placed nearer to his knee, (e.G. drawing it brighter) the shoulder would seem like it is larger because it is nearer.
The shadow of the person himself is thrown on the wall suggesting that the light comes from the front, the shadows on his breast indicate a light source above him (shadow of head on breast). I would recommend putting detail instead of a shadow on the breast and thus indicating again to a frontal light source.
right one: It would have been easier if you photographed it on its own and / or rotated it, so one does not have to shift head to see it.
If the light on the legs would be constant (without the break at the knees) it would more seem human. The knees are larger than the lower leg and as such should not be in the dark if the lower leg is. Alternately you could place some decent cloth there, if you want to, to indicate that this place can not be seen.
I very much like the left hand (from his perspective)
If you would give him a shadow of face, without enough detail for an expression, the high contrast between hair and face would be lowerd and such would not draw as mutch attantion as it does now (if that is what you wanted, well done, but I dont like that part in the image)
